ABOUT

OUR STORY

Finding yourself is hard for any kid. For a foster child like Viktory Hill, it often feels impossible; but with heart, imagination, and a sturdy pair of dancing shoes, Vicky always manages to keep her head up and her eyes on the prize: finding where she belongs.

Viktory is a serial drama that explores an underrepresented side of the American family. A unique coming of age story from the perspective of a child raised between two cultures, that anyone who has ever felt themselves pulled in two directions can relate to. Explore the site to watch exclusive clips and to find out information about screening times.

Kimberly Wehr

Creator/Executive Producer

Kimberly is an award-winning writer & producer from West Chicago IL. Not to be confused with the west side of Chicago (it happens). She is one of 15 siblings, not all from the same family or bloodline. Which makes for great stories. "Viktory" is grounded in her personal experiences as a foster child. She started her career in theater as an actress but found limited roles out there for black women, so now she is focused on writing them. She started working on her friend's films to become a better screenwriter and has been in love with the medium ever since. "Viktory" is the first production of her own ever produced.

Stephanie's body of work is comprised of projects which have strong and complex women of color at its center. She was instantly enamored with "Viktory" because of its well-written charactersand unique perspective on transracial adoption. She's excited to be on the "Viktory" team, and can't wait to bring this story to the audience across the globe. As Director, Stephanie played a key role in bringing the concept of Viktory to life on the screen.
